          Hi all,

At the moment I use 2 widgets, 1 rain radar and 1 detail widget. They are set to use my current location.

Somehow the widget keeps using an "old location" instead of my current when "auto refreshing" (manual refresh works fine).

          A bit more detail:
I live in "A" and work in "B". Friday was the last time I was at work. However the widget keeps using location "B" instead of "A". Only if I press the small refresh button on the widgets they pop to "A". However there is a good chance that if I look in an hour or two the location (when the widget refreshes in the background) is back to "B".

          Details:
          App version: 33.0.5
          Android version: 12, patch 5 November 2021
          Phone: Google pixel 5

I have no clue why it would matter but my "do not disturb" mode is on. (Scheduled).
          The internet connection is Wifi.
Battery usage is set to "optimized".

          Everything else:
          Device info:

          "name": "Pixel 5",

Update: Yesterday I went for a hike and the location of the widgets followed me correct. However, when I went back home the location stayed at the location of the hike.

Also a quick suggestion, can you maybe make it so that when you press the refresh button on the widget the location is updated (for all widgets)

P s. Somehow I can't edit my last post, so I made a new one.

@the_program Hi, thank you for provided details. "Do not disturb mode" can be a reason the widget does not update correctly. Did you try it without it? Also make sure you allowed Windy to use your location services.

@korina today (during the day) the do not disturb mode was off. However when I looked the location wss still the same as the location from the hike.

I double checked the permission for location and the precise location permission is granted.

For reference: Do not disturb is turned on from 21.00 till my alarm clock or 10.00 (whatever comes first).

So, for now I guess do not disturb is not the issue. Also, I have location history turned on and that works great.

@the_program Hello, did you also try to set the location manually? Each widget can have a different location.

@korina Sorry I enabled notifications but they don't seem to be working.

Anyway if I set a manual location that works fine. Also, if I press the refresh button on the widget it updates the location. However once the auto refresh comes along the location is reverted back to the location that it was before.

So it seems that the code that handles the refresh button doesn't update the location for the auto refresh part.

The version of the app is currently 33.0.5 so I don't know what version I need. But for now the behavior is still the same.

New/blank iPad Pro IOS 15.1 (19B74). Fresh install Windy.com app.
                        iPhone 12 Pro IOS 15.2 (19C56) from April 2021. Reinstalled Windy.com app.
                        App version 33.1.1

Same behavior on both. Widget is blank. Just a grey box without content.

                        • Do not disturb off.
                        • Location services allowed for app. Also precise location turned on.
                        • Tried both GPS position and manually setting (several different) locations as startup in app settings.

On the iPhone, when adding a new widget, the small preview/example one shows Prague as location and the large one shows blank, grey box.
Adding either of them shows blank/grey box.

On the iPad both previews as blank/grey boxes.

I have three other weather-apps showing content and location correctly.

@stromseth Hello, this is caused by system issue. The best way to resolve it is to restart your phone and iPad.

Sorry, but no. Restarted both devices several times. Did it again this morning just to be sure.
                              Still blank.

Widgets no longer auto-update after latest Android update. Manual updating works fine.

Checked location permissions and there is no option for "Allow all the time", so I have it set with the most unrestricted setting which is "Allow only while using the app"

Data usage and battery settings are completely unrestricted.

I figured Android made some change that broke the app, but I couldn't find any information about it. Is there anything else I should try, or is this something you are aware of?

                                  Thanks!

I am having the same problem as akovia. Android 12, latest update to both os and app. Widget will not auto update. Widget will update if pushed manually.

I have reinstalled the app and widget but this did not fix it. Setting the location manually also did not fix it.
