How to setup an alert for *no rain* ?
CapGuy last edited by Marienka
I set alerts with "0 ml" of rain for 24h, but I receive alerts even rain is in forecast...
I wonder how to receive alerts only when there is no rain at all for 24h... How to do please ?
BTW : thanks so much for this amazing Windy system ! :-D
Hi Guy, strange, could you send me the alert number? Are you using the same weather model?
@TomSlavkovsky same here. It looks like it is interpreted as written „at least 0mm of rain“
This doesn’t make sense to me.
I often get alerts where Wind would be perfect for flying but it is raining all day long.
For Paragliders a Combination of no rain and wind would be great for an alert.
I think you need an alert for "up to 0mm of rain" instead of "at least 0mm of rain".
@Gkikas-LGPZ You're right but I guess they don't have it yet https://community.windy.com/topic/5644/maximum-precipitation-in-alerts
@TomSlavkovsky Is there any news on this at all Tom? Much like the rest of the community, and for obvious reasons I would like to be alerted when there is NO rain, rather than when there is an x amount of rain as a minimum... :)
Any news on this?
The "no rain" criteria would be quite helpfull. I'd assume most people who use this app are checking aviation weather.
@samik83 Hello, there are no news yet, but it is definitely on our to-do list for a right timing.
