I love the app! As a pilot, one suggestion I have is to allow the user to use the distance measuring polylines to generate a vertical slice of any weather variables along that polyline transect while still being able to use the time slider. In this way, I can plot my route, then look at winds, clouds, etc versus elevation, and use the time slider for forecasting en route.

@gkikas-lgpz Yes, that's the general idea, thanks. Sorry, I'm new to this, so I'm not really clear -- is this something planned for windy.com or is it something that already exists?

            It is something planned.
Windy is teamed with only 6 people (no meteorologists) and it is very difficult to integrate
such a big and complicated project.
As I know the next big thing for windy, will be the integration of lightning data (actual)
            and lightning-thunderstorms forecast from ECMWF.
