Current direction is about 180 degrees off
-
If you switch to the currents display and then click somewhere that has significant currents, the label will say S when the arrow is pointing straight up, and say N when the arrow is pointing down. This is 180 degrees off what the current is actually doing.

Talking about wind direction, when we say North we mean the wind is blowing FROM the North.
Is not the same with currents? -
@gkikas-lgpz
No, the ocean currents are reported as the direction of the stream, which is the opposite of the wind. An east wind blows from the 90º, when a current at 90º « flows » toward the east.
So Windy express the currents direction (also called « set ») in a nonconventional way, both in degree or in cardinal direction. -
