Unfortunately, although a cool feature, Windy is not the first one there for thunderstorms.
There's a project that's been there for years called Blitzortung.orghttp://en.blitzortung.org/live_lightning_maps.php
It's a community of internationally based electromagnetic discharge detectors (lighting sensors).
it might be a good idea to join forces with them.

while windy provides forecast data.I hope (someday) blitzortung will share their data with windy.
