Clouds Cross Section

It would be beneficial for flight planning to take a cross section view of clouds / cloud cover along your route. Is there a way to draw a line on the map and get a cross section of cloud tops and bottoms (thickness) along that line? It may even be able to plot cloud cover percentage along that route as well...
