Different temperature readings under different settings?

So I've been trying to work out what I'm being shown, but I really can't right now.
When "favourites" in the bottom right is selected, I see a bunch of temperature readouts.
However if I select "forecasted weather" this changes quite noticeably
In the case of London city, there's a 4 degree difference between the two right now. Also, the font is just a bit smaller, but for no apparent reasons (the positions do not move).
So what is the difference here? What am I seeing? I thought that maybe one is related to the forecast model, and one is meant to be showing "current" temperature readings, but when I have "favourites" selected the temperatures match the current temperature reports even less! So I just don't know what I'm looking at.

@Pluckerpluck I have also experienced this, but unfortunately, I don't know what is causing it or how to fix it.
