Is it possible that you have the elevation set to something like 9000m/300hPa? When I do that I get a completely purple picture in Opera and Firefox.

@George2323 What is your operating system? Is the problem occurring in a specific layer or all layers have this issue? Is this problem in this particular zoom only or all zooms show a similar problem?

@JimInSanDiego this occurs on all elevations.

@TomSlavkovsky I am on Windows 10. It happens on all zoom levels and all layers. Though on different layers the color may change. For instance instead of being all purple it will go all brown.

@TomSlavkovsky , I was checking it via BrowserStack and I can not confirm this. Windows 10 + Firefox 61 ; multiple layers + zoom levels + elevations.

                Best wishes

@jiminsandiego Yes exactly, but only as regards the 'Temperature' layer.

                  Best wishes

I'm seeing same type of issue, but in a form of weird tiling. (in case of temp layer...)

Less severe (but very misleading) tiling issue are shown in Wind speed layer, too.

This was observed in Firefox 62.0.2 under Linux.

I get the original issue when I turn on privacy.resistFingerprinting to true. Strange because it usually works on other websites.

@mrhurricane Sorry for late reply. Thank you, this was the problem. I was following a privacy guide when configuring Firefox, and that's why I disabled privacy.resistFingerprinting. I'll enable it for now because I like Windy, but hopefully it doesn't cause any privacy concerns... But seriously, thank you for figuring this out!

This still happens in Linux Mint 20.0, with Firefox 84. "privacy.resistFingerprinting = true" still causes Windy.com to not display the maps.

Reverting Firefox back to the default setting of "privacy.resistFingerprinting = false" fixes things

@hhgttg Hello, thank you for letting us know. This is very specific setting, so I would advice to keep the "privacy.resistFingerprinting = false" or use another browser.

@hhgttg Try giving the site access to your Canvas data, the setting present after the setting icon post the shield icon on address bar.

Windows 11 Firefox 64 most recent. Apr.2023. Removed IObit plugin surfing and ad removal protection. Windy came back immediately to normal operation.
