You can view the areas of major storms like hurricanes by turning on Pressure Isolines way at the bottom of the Layer choice menu.  In addition you can then look at clouds and winds to get a feel for the storm.  Or you can do like I do and checkout the <a href="https://www.wunderground.com/hurricane" rel="nofollow ugc">WeatherUnderground Hurricane</a> page.  They do a great job of showing anything you want to know about hurricanes in progress.</p>
