App crashing consistently after updating iOS to version 12

Latest version of app.
Can open app but crashes when selecting any spot to view wind.
iPhone 6S device -

The issue is very consistent for me but if I delete and re-install the app I can access the wind map until I kill the app and re-open. After that the crash returns. Here is a video capture of the issue:
