Overnight And AM showers for Friday and Early Saturday Morning for area's in the south like Texas And Louisiana are expecting strong thunderstorms in the Area.

CYCLONE ALCIDE UPDATE:

Alcide is now a category 1 as the First indian storm is heading for Madagascar. Warnings could be issued in saturday or late friday.

I don’t know what are your information sources. But checking before on Windy both with ECMWF and GFS, you would have seen that Alcide will not hit Madagascar.
This is confirmed by La Réunion RSMC Center.
