@idefix37 This solution doesn't work for me because the delete icon simply isnt there on my phone. Is this because I'm a 'free' user? 🤔

You refer to an old post. Now there is a bin to delete a favorite, or if you have set an Alert you need to delete the alert first using the small pencil.
