iOS app extreme lag

Hi there,
First of all I’d like to say I love the app it’s one of the most beautiful visual renderings of data I have seen in my life.
That being said, it is now unusable on my phone because of how badly it lags. Is there anything I can do (reinstall app ) to help it work better, it never used to be like this either.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
