ALADIN Model for Europe

Please add forecast model ALADIN for Europe!

@VanGogh_weather
The ALADIN model was developed by Meteo France based on the IFS / ARPEGE code, but now I don’t think it is still operational in France. It has been replaced by AROME (which is now available on Windy). The ALADIN code is shared within the ALADIN Consortium, which represents some fifteen countries in Europe and North Africa. For more details see this document:

@Gkikas-LGPZ said in ALADIN Model for Europe:
Every model has certain boundaries
I understand it but ALARO-RO Model could be added
-
@VanGogh_weather
Yes, and people from Romania (ALARO-ROmania) would be happy!
But, what about Spaniards, Irish etcYou cannot please all of the people all of the time,
but that is a "problem" with LAM (Limited Area Models)
and this is not such a bad thing. -
@VanGogh_weather
Unfortunately, even if AROME and ALARO use more or less the same ALADIN code, I think that these different versions cannot be mixed as a composite image (like radar data from different countries)
