The Most Powerful Hurricanes of 2017

Last year at this time, hurricane Irma caused serious damages and killed dozens of people, following another hurricane Harvey that was formed a few days earlier. Unfortunately Irma was not the last one, another two were supposed to come.
Harvey formed on Sunday August 13th, 2017 as a tropical wave emerged off the west coast of Africa. It quickly gained the strength and on August 17th were issued Tropical Storm Warnings for Martinique, St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It hit Windward Islands just a day later. Becoming a hurricane 4 in the following days and approaching the coast, not only Texas residents will remember Harvey as a catastrophic and life-threatening beast.
Right afterwards one chapter was closed, Atlantic ocean gave birth to another hurricane - of category 5 this time. Irma was formed at the end of August. It became one of the strongest hurricane ever impacting Caribbean, Leeward Islands and Florida. More than 7 million people were evacuated, the wind speed exceeded 250 km/h and its deadly power took many lives.
The extra strength and intensity of 2017 hurricane season confirmed Jose, reaching category 4 on September 9th. The impacted places projection triggered evacuation of Barbuda and Saint Martin seriously damaged by previous hurricane Irma. At the end the strongest wind stayed offshore but still beating with tropical storm-force.
Jose had not told the last word yet and the world started to focus on Maria occuring southwest of Cape Verde. The second hurricane of category 5 in Atlantic area this year. The most catastrophic damage suffered Dominica and Puerto Rico attacked on September 19th and the day later.
Windy, along with all the world, tracked their paths in order to save the lives.
