      Dear Sir/Maam,
I want to use windy for operational aviation purpose. For this I want to know what is the source for the weather radar data and its validity like the way you have explained the model data.

Also can you have the overlay of weather satellite images for gloabl coverage ?

      Thanking you

      Harish

@kphk As of recently, Windy gets its radar information from https://www.rainviewer.com/.

@kphk Hi Harish, it depends on the country, some of the sources are based on data provided by Meteo institutions. Some of the data are obtained from Rainviewer. It might happen that the radar composite might be slightly shifted as we don't have power over it.
