They see me rollin' - Stratocumulus volutus
-
Another type of Stratocumulus is huge Stratocumulus volutus with its magnificent look. It is a long tube appearing to roll around the Earth. This species is often travelling alone, but sometimes there can be more of them lined up in a formation.
It is a rare species. The shape is caused by flat ground, large plains without hills or sea and oceans when the rising air is affected by a horizontal stream of air. Stratocumulus Volutus is sometimes connected with wide and light precipitation.
