<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[Difference between UTC, GMT, Zulu Time, and Z]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto"><strong>UTC stands for Universal Time Coordinated, and it's the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks and time.</strong> UTC use to be called Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), but still is in English speaking countries, or Zulu Time (Z), which is used in plane and ship navigation. <strong>UTC is the time at the Prime Meridian (0° Longitude) given in hours and minutes on a 24 hour clock.</strong></p>
<p dir="auto">To obtain your local time you need to subtract or add a certain number of hours from UTC depending on how many time zones you are away from Greenwich. The map below shows the standard difference from UTC time to local time.</p>

<p dir="auto"><strong>On Windy you can change settings to display all time in UTC.</strong> This can be done in the settings by checking <strong>"Display all time in UTC"</strong>.</p>
