Upgrade of ECMWF’s forecasting system planned for June

The upgrade brings major improvements in data assimilation as well as in modelling and the range of observations used.
The changes result in better forecasts across the range of predicted values, including .... wind and temperature.
The new cycle only includes meteorological changes;
there are no technical changes, e.g. new resolutions. -
