Settings for iOS widget
-
The iOS widget is great and shows a lot of information. But how do I set it up to show the same information as the iOS app shows? The location is a little different from the app, so the current weather is a little different. In addition, it appears to use a different model than I'm using in the iOS app, which makes the forecast different. Is there some way to setup the widget to use the same settings as the app? Or is there some way to directly choose the location and model for the widget?

Hello @dkuchta5,
currently widgets using only ECMWF model, but in the future there will be option to change model.
Also location is little bit different. This should be changed in the future.Best regards

@radek-m Hi. I know this is a very late reply, but my question seems appropriate. After updating to the most recent version of the Windy app (29.2.4), the widget now displays in Centigrade when my default is Fahrenheit. (I'm using an iPhone 8 with iOS version 14.5) I'm guessing there is no way for me to make the widget change to Fahrenheit? Is that true?

@thebearded1
There are currently issues with the iOS widget. See all recent topics about this question, not those one year old. Wait a bit, developers have all hands on deck to solve the issue. -
@thebearded1 The widget should reflect your app's settings, we are working on a fix.

Hello, the location of the widget is totally different than the apps since de today’s update. I do something wrong, or it’s a bug ? (iOS 14.5, Apps 29.2.4)

@h957 Hello, the widget should show the location saved as your Start-up location. Do you have location services allowed for Windy?
