Widget weather model
-
I my area the only model that works consistently is ICON. However, the default model for the widget is ECMWF and this does not sync with the selected model within the app.
Is it possible to sync, the widget and app model ? -
Hello @verminal, unfortunately only ECMWF is available for the widget. But in the future there will be a option to switch models. Hope soon.
Best regards

I have exactly the same issue and can't wait for option to switch models to become available.
Thank You for your efforts!

I'd like to add my support for this. For me the NEMS model is the most accurate so I'd love the widget to actually reflect your choice in the app.
Thanks.

I note that Windy has just been updated. Metro Blue is now available as a model source.
I was hoping that the opportunity had been taken to synchronise the selected model to the widgets - as they are truly useless, unless ECMWF is your preferred model.
Also, once a model is selected it would be helpful to retain that model when the app is reopened. Rather than mine through the menu every time after closing the app.
Most, if not all, other apps synchronise with the widget and retain the selected model as the new default.

Hi there
I note that windy has been updated. As a regular IFR flyer I used to rely on the meto pics of cloud levels. ie - I could see medium cloudswere forecasted to go up to F150 and therefore I selected my level at F180.
Please Please Please - reinstate the cloud pics. and the relevant levels
Cheers
