How-to Request the Windy Station API key

Here is easy to follow how-to tutorial, which explains the process of creating your station on Windy and generating Windy Stations API key. The Windy Stations API key is necessary for sending the data to Windy.

Go to Windy Stations website: https://stations.windy.com and click on Register to beta. Bear in mind that Windy Stations are still in Beta version and all data might be deleted or the website does not have to behave as intended or expected.

Sign in with your Windy Community username and password.

For adding new station click on + station button.

To add a station please fill in all necessary information. Required fields are:

• Selection of "Sharing of your data" - here you consent that we can share your data on Windy.
• Location (either by selection location on the map or by inserting lat/lon) and elevation
• Select height above the ground level for either Windmeter or Tempmeter

Now you should see your station listed on your personal screen. By clicking on button highlighted below you open your station detail on Windy.

As soon as you start sending the data, they will appear in station detail.
