      Good day,

I'm working at the Shipping company. I usually use Windy for check sea weather forecast and planning navigation route.
Wave and Wind forecast is good. But fog forecasting is inaccurate.

Usually, our vessels calling Shanghai area. such as Shanghai, Baoshan, Zhangjiagang, Nantong, and Changshu port.
Therefore vessel needs waiting for Pilot at Changjiakou(South area of Shanghai) to sailing Yangtze River.
This channel is often closed due to dense fog. So we need a forecast of fog.
But we cannot see the fog forecast in Windy even select fog layer on the menu.

Is there are any other way to check the fog forecast?

If Windy give information about fog, it will be really helpful not only shipping business but also people's everyday life.

As you know Windy visualizes weather models forecasts. And models are not effective in predicting fog, in particular when fog is due to local conditions as near-shore fog.

(See conclusion points at bottom of page)

Inshore fogs, like the advection fog and, but less important, the evaporation fog, are not easily predictable. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/learn-about/weather/types-of-weather/fog/types-of-

So it is advised to rely on local meteorological services.
On Windy you may check the observations (METAR) and forecasts (TAF) for Shanghai Pudong International Airport which is very close to the sea. But it is only 24h forecast, I suppose you need much longer fog prediction.
