Now you can send data to Windy using WeeWX. The WeeWX weather system is an open-source platform written in Python. WeeWX is ideal to run on Raspberry Pi.

To send data from your WeeWX you just need to install WeeWX's plugin.

@tomslavkovsky ! This plugin produces an IO error and doesn't seem to install. Any ideas what is going wrong? See screen shot from Raspberry Pi.

@czollars (Just to answer for others who stop by: must be root to install the plugin.)

If anyone's setting this up today, it's worth keeping an eye on your logs after installation to make sure data is actually being transmitted at the expected intervals. Most issues end up being configuration-related rather than anything wrong with the weather station itself.
