Winds value picker on mobile.

Hi guys,
I started using windy and I love the way it flawlessly works as an android app. Especially the part when you move your map around and can read the value of e.g. a wind speed in the place that the marker picker is positioned. Having a bit of technical background I got one question around that - how did you make it so smooth, is the value decoded from the tile image or do you have separate numerical representation for that?
Really amazing :)
It's now my default weather app! Great job :)
