Fantastic addition to an already awesome service. Windy has pretty much taken over the home screen of my computer. Great insight to worldwide weather patterns and great value to marine interests.. Thank you and best wishes for continued success!

hi,
good one
if you go further and give picture in n dimensionsl picture and it help me to understand better
thanks -
Really like the satellite layer! I use your site as my go-to weather page out here in the desert in SW Texas. All the hard work is very much appreciated!

Like satellite. I think better than noaa for where we are, Hawaii. I can zoom out and get a picture of where hurricanes are and a lot easier. Just need a distance scale somewhere but nonetheless, great job! My fav for weather and keeping an eye on it for 50 yrs.Prev.Alaska, NH/VT, NC, CO, HI.

@M-Sixteen said in Windy launches Satellite layer:
Just need a distance scale
You have it already with Distance & planning tool. Better than a traditional distance scale as you can get a precise measurement between 2 points on the map. Just need a right click on mouse.
In addition, a fixed distance scale is impossible to use on a map based on the Mercator projection because the distances on the map vary according to the latitude.

Outstanding!!! Thank you very much.

Thank you, I like it very much. I'm retired, used to be a military aviator (32 years) and civilian long-haul trucker (9 years) and still use the app daily.
-
Simply put: amazing. Better than what my employer provides.

@stitch For vertical cross section look to Skew-T charts at https://rucsoundings.noaa.gov/

Super job, many thanks to the whole windy team.
For me is only one thing left. Maybe one time you can display cold an warm front in some appropriate layers.
Thank you for this greate site and app.

Thank you so much! This Site is one of the best I know. And these unique quality Satellite layers are absolutely outstanding. They provide a clear forecast by a glimps of an eye.
