Really digging it and great to keep a watch on Hagibis. Not really sure how to feel living in Japan with the world's largest typhoon on the way. After being here through one of the world's largest earthquakes ever recorded, I will say they aren't the best of feelings I'm having.

I love it! One of the most important layers! The precipitation radar layer is also really great!

I don't like the new layer, you still have way too many weird
problems going on with what your putting out NOW.

Here, I DO NOT support your remark. This layer is just perfect, and every body think the same !

IMO the sat layer is almost perfect.
(I say "almost" because I wanted the ability
to read cloud top temperature in Celsius with the picker).
What's the reason you don't like sat. layer?

Brilliant work. Our current drought is horrendous, but looking at this with all the work you have put in helps to make it better. Cheers from SW Queensland, Aus

I just love the idea. We enthusiastic of meteorology and normal citizens of the world needs desperately all the info we can get about climate, and other naturals phenomena that could treat our territories, nations, cities and places everywhere on the planet. This is a jewel for the climate data systems and we appreciate so much that we are going to keep our support to these types of initiatives. Thanks a LOT!

                              Satelite Layer, just brilliant!

IMO all it lacks is orthographic projection like this....

                              https://earth.nullschool.net/#current/wind/surface/level/overlay=temp/orthographic=-56.99,95.10,361

When I first went online in the 90's and found the grainy, low res satellite images I was enchanted and hooked! I didn't have the imagination to see where you guys would take it.

My heartfelt thanks to all involved.

The site you mentioned (https://earth.nullschool.net) provides SATELLITE layer
                                in orthographic projection ?

Hi - I like the satellite imagery of the clouds very much!! The shadow effect relative to the sun's position in the sky really helps visualize how fast clouds are building, what direction they're moving in, what the coverage is. I like the feature, and hope you keep and develop it.

Love it...sometimes seeing a Sat-view puts all the data in a clearer perspective.

Today the satellite layer shows clearly wildfires in Northern Territory, Australia.

                                      B2133167-9556-4188-8474-8B36EEFAECCE.jpeg

At same time, the CO layer shows high concentration, and to some extend it is also the case of NO2, SO2 and PM2.5 which are produced by combustion.

@Gkikas-LGPZ I agree, it would be great if the picker showed brightness temperatures. This together with the model soundings would make it easy to identify cloud top heights. @ivo
