Windy launches Satellite layer

Love the new satellite coverage! One of the most important elements, showing the clouds as they evolve! Would LOVE to see a Wind Chill temperature along with your surface wind! That is extremely important in planning the days events where it's freezing or below and how to protect livestock and vegetation, let alone we human Popsicles! I'm originally from Western NY state north of Niagara Falls where its brutal when the Lake Effect starts and the air temp is under 20, making for Blizzard conditions.

I'm probably missing some option to do this. On my display the satellite layer seems to blend in with the background.so it's difficult to see the edge of the clouds and areas that are clear. Is there a way to reduce the transparency or remove the background layer (e.g. highway map and city tags) so the cloud layer is more apparent?

It's awesome!

@ivo Love your app , is the best.

Just Amazing, A new tool to understand the Climate. Thanks!

Je trouves cela très utiles

Hello again is there any options to change the map color in the windy interface because it is so difficult to recognize the map extent that the line map color blends with color of the satellite layer?
Thanks! and Happy New Year to all. -
Outstanding. My favorite workstation!
-
The satellite layer is excellent! I wish I could get the same layer with both cold fronts, high & low pressure centers, and ground temperatures all in one view!
-
For warm countries (such as israel) coloring from around 0 Celsius will be a-bit more useful, as this is when it's start raining
-
It looks great, would we be able to overlay real time lightning strike data over the new satellite layer in the future?
-
can you add 5 minutes between pictures to the 15 minutes ones?
-
Very good. Prior comments summarize most of my views. Congratulations.

fantastic. so useful for pilots like me.
-
ok very goot

This is an excellent site, thank you for providing quality information

Well done guys! Great coverage!!!!!!!!!

LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!! It's been amazing to track the Australian bushfires and their associated self generating weather patterns. As tragic as these events are for us here down under, it has been very useful. It is my go to weather site and is so much more accurate than our Government's Bureau of Meteorology. They treat the public like children. You should all be highly commended for your work. Thanks everyone :)

@TZ Sounds like a good idea.
However, now I've noticed the temporal resolution was decreased as well (it's something like 15 min, instead of 5 min?).
Is it possible to increase it back to what it used to be?Thanks,
Koko
