      Hi Windy.com Team:

First of all you guys gave this site an amazing punch in adding Satellite layer. Good job!

Just want to ask if you can add a tooltip layer for latitude and longitude in decimal points format, including distance tool? We use this in localized realtime positioning of Tropical Cyclones approaching the Philippine Islands.

      Hoping for your consideration.

      Thank you.

      Best regards,

        There are several options available:

        • Turn ON "Weather picker contains lat, lon" in Windy settings. This works in all layers, and it is possible to drag the picker to any location.

        • Turn ON Show lat, lon grid

        • Use the Distance and Planning tool in the Menu

        Hope this helps :)

Thank you jmh2002. Much appreciated with your reply. However, is there an option for decimal points on the lat/lon instead of mins and secs?

          Please advise.

          Cheers!

Hi Again. It worked! Once I copied the lat and lon from windy.com and pasted it on a notepad, it will convert to decimal points! Fantastic! :) Big Thanks to the Team!

Hi Mike, pleased that it all worked out. In case you weren't aware, Windy also has a built in Hurricane Tracker too, and maybe it can also be of assistance:

In addition, you can also draw the forecasted track of Typhoons and TC.
Click on right mouse button and select Distance & planning.
