<![CDATA[How can I access historical data?]]>There are no historical data on Windy.

Windy is run by pilots, kiters, sailors, bikers, so we are focused on now-cast and forecast.

After a lot of thoughts, I have decided (as a founder and main developer) to postpone historical data feature until Windy finds (and develops) a sustainable business model.

This can be in any time range from 2018 - ...

Stay tuned. We have millions of users, we PAY for some weather data and someone has to pay the bill.

Seems feasible, too, seeing how other services include this kind of history. I'm not going to wield the refund hammer, but I'll add my name to the list of people who expected historical data and is rather dumbfounded by the fact that it isn't available.

I assumed when it said access o historical data it meant the details we might want or need like wind speed, and temperature. This kinda feels like false advertising and I'm kinda disappointed.

The far inferior "windy.app" includes this data in their premium subscription. I only know this because I accidentally subscribed to their premium not windy.com premium initially. Kinda wishing I swiped that data before deleting my account.

Not sure if this comment will go anywhere to which it could be helpful. But I wish I could get historical temps/wind speeds for my lil microclimate.

Hi,
Premium allows access to 12 months of past data from SATELLITE and RADAR layer. It is not said from any other parameter.

Understood.
As others said previously, I have to say I am disappointed with this information, that is kind of false advertising. Please get rid of the part where you advertise for archive data when subsribing to Windy Premium.
Because I subscribed especially for this feature and realize only afterwards that the archive is of no us to me, because it basically has almost no data available.

  1. Open Windy
  2. Select Satellite layer
  3. Look at the bottom - as shown in screenshot - and locate "Archive"
  4. click it.

If you're using the app....

  1. Open Windy
  2. Select Satellite layer
  3. Look at the bottom where the timeline is - click "More"
  4. Press the word Archive.
