I tell you .... that the alert feature is still available in Windy app !
... And being ironic is not the best way to get a reply !

Hi there, a quick question because I couldn't find it in the thread: are the features listed also available within the app since I couldn't find it. Actually, the browser based version fulfills all my needs and I really love it. Would be great to have the same features in the app. Thank you very much for your dedication and work! Best regards, Alex

Thank you all again for the route planner! It's incredibly useful.

The only thing that keeps tripping me up is that our flights are usually a circle. I can click on point A for departure and then points B and C along the way but can't then click on A again to finish the flight. I tried entering points in the search box, but that appears to support only two.

Is there a way to plan a route (flight) that starts and ends at the same point?

Thanks again & in advance :-)
              D

You can use as arrival point a location
that is nearby (e.g.4-5 km) the departure point.

@Francfo it would be perfect. Because we always got screenshot to keep those data available.

Finally you can import your gpx file to route planner.

There are three ways how to do it:

                              1. Menu -> Upload KML, GPX or geoJSON file -> Upload GPX and open it in Route Planner

                              2. Open route planner -> Drag & Drop GPX file to route planner window

                              3. Open route planner -> More options... -> Import GPX

                              Enjoy and stay safe

                              Ivo

This has most likely been previously answered, but is there a way to set a start and finish time in Route Planner? I've been searching the posts and comments but unable to find if this is possible. Thanks in advance.

@sailawayjim Hello, the duration depends on the set speed, which you can newly add.

As @Korina explained, you set the duration of the trip by setting the speed. Then you can choose your departure date and time by sliding the time slider along the time line.

@idefix37 Thanks for the reply, but unable to set slider before current date for a multiday trip.

                                      Below began on 05 January.

No of course, but I do not see the reason why you want to start the Route planner in the past. You could start it from your way point 6 or 7 ?
Windy does not store and show past data.
