Windy is here to help save lives and property by informing others about severe weather phenomena and the state of Earth's climate. Windy articles should help our users and other media to stay informed about these events, but that's not all. We would also like to educate others about weather and its dangers.

Windy gives its readers a unique opportunity to see the described phenomena on an animated map and thus visualize right away the path of the hurricane, the endangered area, the direction of the wind, the forecasted storms...etc.

What topics can you find/write on Windy?

There are two types of articles; articles that expire and articles that are permanent. Articles that expire should inform users about forecasted or ongoing weather phenomena. Permanent articles should:

• Educate users about weather, forecasting and such
• Inform users about new features on Windy
• Explain the high level functionality of Windy
• Inform users about new climatological studies, models, and data sets
• Provide reviews of forecast models and weather products, as well as reviews of weather-related hardware (like weather stations)
