Is there any way to change the homescreen options? In my smartphone the app opens by default with the wind map. Can I change it to open with temperature map? Or rain map?
Also there is a button to open the satellite map. Can I change this button to open another map?

I had the same question. So, how do users make it possible by asking developers to give this option.

Just by opening a thread here as @kelvindarre did it or by posting a message on an existing thread. You can be sure that developers read all messages even if they don’t reply directly.
You may understand that they make their own choice and have their own priorities. Personaly I like on Windy smartphone app to have the wind layer as default layer. On website windy.com you can save the complete URL in your Browser when your favorite layer is open and then use it as a bookmark.

If you are using the API, you can add the overlay attribute to the options object. For example, if you want to initialize your map directly at temperature, the options attribute will look like this: overlay: 'temp'

@irriga Would be lovely if this were to be integrated into desktops atleast as live wallpapers, no?
