Currently the wind overlay is the default. Could you make it so weather radar could be chosen as default? Also, allow for the background color of the widget be selectable. Currently the gray doesn't work well with a colored desktop.

@msmakm67 Hi, The default zoom and wind map is not possible to change. The reason for this is that we want to keep application to load fast. The data are cached on servers for some time and saves a lots of resources.

The widget has 3 types of background colours : Dark, Bright and Transparent. You can choose, which one you like in widget setting.
