On the Forecast I see rain arriving in the next few hours, so I guess the weather has just arrived earlier than originally forecast.

The Satellite image appears to show what you describe. The Radar data seems incomplete.

Also please note, Windy does not create any forecast data but instead only visualises forecast and actual data received from various third party providers.
