Could you be more explicit in your question? I understand that you want to get the Route planner available in the mobile app, right?
You have seen in previous posts here above that this feature is only available with the browser version on desktop. With the mobile app (on tablets or mobile phones) you have only the Distance & planning tool.

With the mobile devices, using windy.com with browser, you can use the Flight planner plugin.

I'm not sure how helpful this is for VFR planning, though maybe I'm missing something.

When using the browser to click waypoints, is there a way to enter altitude?

Does entering the speed, simply apply linear calculation on distance regardless of wind?
Surely the real value would be if the speed entered is indicated (or true) airspeed of the airplane, and the time calculation incorporates wind speed to show actual distance vs time over ground. Cleary without knowing altitude, it can't be including it in the calcs, but not including it is pretty useless for VFR. 20kts of wind on a 100kt cruise speed, really matters if it is a headwind or tailwind!
What am I missing? I want to be wrong about this!

@xcapee Hello, the altitude and other data is displayed in the VFR view. Entering the speed gives you basic idea about the weather along the way, but it also gives you weather data for 'now', not for the time of arrival.

For me Route planer shows weather that is predicted to be encountered along the trip i.e. weather at departure time / location and weather at arrival time / location, and same between these 2 points. Am I right? -
@idefix37 Hi, if you look at the route, the route planner shows forecast only for the current hour for the whole trip.

Try a trip with boat at 5kt speed. It is more obvious at low speed.
Move the time slider, you see the weather map changing according to the time stamp and the diagram shows the same weather as the weather at the boat position on the map. For example, on the second day of the trip the Route planner displays the weather at the boat position and according to the forecast for the second day. Thus, the Route planner displays the forecast for all hours throughout the journey. -
Hi.
Was wondering about the Route Planners Elevation data. In my area (Mid Norway) the elevation can be plus 100m+ off on peaks, even when placing the route waypoints directly on the elevation marking in the map.- What's the tolerance?
- Is there a buffer to the sides?

How do I import a gpx file using the android app ? It seems the app is very limited in routing and planning.

@pafke Hello, importing or exporting is only available on desktop, the functionality in the app is limited.

The question of @cap10david, was relevant because it was at the early stage of Route planner development and at this time it was not possible to set a travel speed.
But now you can do it. -

The Route planner is NOT available in the mobile app unfortunately, only on the website. Don’t you have the possibility to use a laptop?
In the mobile app you get only the Distance & planning feature which allows to measure distances on the map. It does not show the forecast weather along the Route. -

OK so if you use the website app, you can use the Route planner and the speed of the mobile, for instance a boat, is a parameter that you can modify.
