Windy now supports more than 40 languages and it's been very difficult to maintain the high standard of translations. Therefore, we have decided to change the translation platfom, now we are using Crowdin. Crowdin is a user-friendly translation tool that everyone can join and improve or translate texts used at Windy.

What is the Dokdo issue ? It has been explained that these small islands are visible, but you have to zoom in to see them. Or there is a translation issue there?

Tutukaka as it originally was named is correct, Someone has changed it to Pukearenga Tutukaka. Not correct. Pukearengarenga is the local mountain or maunga. Tutukaka is the name of what is the modern day village, translated as the place of the kaka (native parrot) snaring tree. Like may indigenous cultures places were named after events, sometimes significant ones. Changing or adding new names or words completely changes the meaning of the name.

I have added updates to Swedish, but they seem not to be approved nor moved into the app.

Crowdin has an approve functionality which I am used to in translating other projects, this seem to be used a little, but not for all languages. What is the process when a new translation is suggested? Another functionality is voting. Are you using that to determine which translation to be used?

Feel free to forward to any other of your team members. I am happy to help, but if my translations is not used I can think of many other activities to do instead.

It has been quite difficult to connect to Crowdin for the past few weeks as if Crowdin were the Bank of America!
As for the French translation, there are indeed a few words / sentences that remain in English. But that’s because Windy didn’t ask for their translation. I translated most of the text into French and on Crowdin the French is 100% translated. There's nothing more you could do.
On the other hand, not all languages ​​are 100% translated..
