How to check BLM or public land lines in Southern California?

I was going to visit my parents in Temecula and was thinking of possibly shooting guns at secluded places so we would be safely away from the public. My next search was going to find out popular spots around the city, if there even are any. In the meantime, I was trying to search for maps that would allow me to see lines that would show me where I would be able to go but was unable to figure out the software that I found from seceral online maps. Can someone maybe help me figure out how I would use any of these maps or one that's a little more simple or convenient for what im looking for?
