I'm not sure how helpful this is for VFR planning, though maybe I'm missing something.
When using the browser to click waypoints, is there a way to enter altitude?
Does entering the speed, simply apply linear calculation on distance regardless of wind?
Surely the real value would be if the speed entered is indicated (or true) airspeed of the airplane, and the time calculation incorporates wind speed to show actual distance vs time over ground. Cleary without knowing altitude, it can't be including it in the calcs, but not including it is pretty useless for VFR. 20kts of wind on a 100kt cruise speed, really matters if it is a headwind or tailwind!
What am I missing? I want to be wrong about this!
The airport shown in Windy as YWOL changed its ICAO code in 2019 to YSHL. The airfield does have METAR and TAFs but these are not appearing possibly due to the old code. Can you please update this?
