where is the expert mode button?

go back to the old line of pictograms in a prechosen line on the maps, its irritating to have to check the menu on pc each time i want to change patterns, and the round images that has come instead of the symbols do cover more of the mapspace...this is a stupid solution...

reminds me of earthschools big jump to have a large menu that covered 1/5 of the screen, they made a choose button so now we might shift between small medium and large

give us the opportunity to choose and pick from the menu to line up symbols permanently at the map screen...

i might use ventusky or earthschool more after this downsizing of quality experiment done by windy et.co.

im dissapointed

well, windy has come up, finally, with what many have cried for since the birth of man, sattelite + radar in same layer. this is good, i used it on my smart phone on a bad line at my cabin, sharp edged and neat

give us more to devour...

@Rob-Harbour ,hi, dont know much, but a sort of switch in the settings shouldnt be that difficult to write a code for, choosin fav wx model... so thumbs up,i agree, but cannot do it for you, maybe a fixer have an idea?

@peterh337 beware the word IQ is a dangerous word to use these days( allthough i understand your point of direction), lets call ourselves professionaires/ hobbisionaires, or us older men, or older women, or us devoted hobbymeteorologists, that has become darn too old and nearsighted to even look at the small symbols on a smartphone deeding luck from heavens above in hope to push the right letter on the SP keyboard. i am 3.5+ glassed, and hate to use glasses, therefore using a 70'' tv screen to be able to zoom even further if needed, so you can easily understand that i avoid the SP as much as i can, and i might sound like a professor with an iq just above average ( depends on what test is used to decide intelligence) ,abstractions is bad, everything else that needs a lot of pugging im all in for, try me on geography and youll see. and im the only one i guess that spent 180 days in front of the pcscreen when having weatherlink connected to my davis weather wizard 3( in the summer of -99)

but i am that intelligent, as you peterh337, to cry out loud that the ''punch and judy'' deeds done by the establishment of crayon colourized weather intelligence that we love/low so much , are way far gone for us desktop(alt tv-screen-)users, go back to the old marvelous elegance of pictograms on a line, or at least give us the choice, or at least give the premiumholders (which im not) the opportunity to choose. its no a beg for life, though it feels like it.its almost criminal, and disturbs the equations of an old grump like me.

@anthony10 ,yes, after a thorough test trial of the synoptic front button ( note ''button'') on a competing weather app ,it almost feels like windy is rather conservative and pretty counterproductive not introducing this feature. it should be isi pisy to enfold at any layer with a buttonclick.

@windyrich96 , ive asked for it, now i beg for it,so im 100% thumbs up, sending you ''a beast from the north-way'' as you say when its cold nordavind.

visual fronts is like the visualisation of the frontiers of war... with trenches and throughs, ridges and inclusions ,the ultrabasic fight between HOT and COLD...

i hope they understand our hunger for a toggle button

@Renics-Nykoros ,what date and time are the issue for this heated , at least in kelvins, discussion?

temps at 2 mtrs can change alot,miself living by the sea experience 5-10 deg c difference just 400 meters away inland at my former work shop, just 5 meters above home level, esp on cold winter days,and fog sits. models doesnt catch those nano scale diffs.

@metacrea , that is due to different satelittes, left part is noaa ''goes 16 east'' sat, right part is eumetsat's grand old meteosat 8 or 9, way outta date and blurs out compared with the goes 16. but there will be a development in a not to distant future

@Arthur-Prigent ,hi , agree 1000%, its a big anomaly to fillin , but so important , i know at least 4 web sites presenting this mapwise, who they are i cant tell,otherwise the modds wipes away my message

@Suty its obviously my RAM thats my issue,but it has worked smoothly until the great divide happened 2 weeks ago at windy. im not complaining,just waving a flag...

hear hear, hark hark, the angels sang, still with a necklace of globes, but now in such a size and signage that can be acceptable, even for such a grumpy old man as me. im waving my flag of peace on my demand of pictograms as long as its like now, the balls are just balls that doesnt mean anything, its the text and ability to organize as well that matters so.... were on to something

but i know eumetsat have launched some new wx sats lately, they should be well on their way finally tested and calibrated by now , are there no say or heresay on this?

@Steven-Chiado ,its like a pop-up ad, and a clear message to not to get model blinded and glance up and smell the air yourself,and make your own modulations on the WX quiz. dont risk your life on a fx WX. if the air seems humid and unstable in summer,s..t normally happens.

@Bearfrost , hi, first and foremost its important to tell which part of the world you live (country, part of country,inland ,coastal, lakeislander,mountains, arctic polar, dry desert etc)

also which models you use on windy.com

and just on behalf of windy, say that windy delivers weather forecast model data and not in-situ visual observations...(other than wind temp and precip reported by wxstations around the world delivered by you all)

because that is actually your job to do(lol)...

and fog are really a foggy forecast to bullseye, because its so local and appears with a huge risk of failforecasting on macroscale models, and strives hard even on microscale. so be the observer and accept that superdupercalculating megacomputers aint better than yourself at times ,

so become an uploader of your wx data to windy and otherwx sites.

windy is a superb deliverer of forecast models but doesnt make The Weather

@WillC152 . hi, well i do see the forecast, yes, at every different models , some with a longer update interval when closing in on 9+days, the big difference is having the letters''windy premium'' flashing as a background pattern on the maps., just like a good old watermark from the neolittic postage stamp era...

so if youve bought premium, youve got the same forecasts on the maps as i do, just without that watermark...

the uncertainties of 7+days forecast are still out there in the blue at every model at every wx app, so my assumption is to put some personal knowhow and good old common sense checking often as those predicaments vary a whole lot especially for summer forecast for scandinavia.( YR ,SMHI, DMI etc)
