Artie here from sunny California, USA. I have learned to use Windy and all its features to do WX for Para- and Hang-gliding. One of the overlooked features is to change altitude as a way of detecting wind shear. The best feature is the add-ins on the desktop app; we should bring that to the iPad or iPhone. For example the XC Skew-T that changes with the timeline using the arrow keys, bringing a dry static view even more to life. I hope to see more specialized flying-focused functionality and information and try to contribute to its design and implementation.

@vicb maybe you can add some of the features here to your plug-in. I have the code behind it, a Perl script I think.

@vicb you bet, thx for pointing to the repos, will try to get my head around it. Time’s the scarce resource and I’d rather be flying. ;-)
Where do you keep those ideas, like a feature list or part of a buglist in GH?
I like the yellow lines showing cape and potential thermal altitude and there are many more that could benefit from a one glance indication like the cloud base line. -
