Have noticed since the new combined radar and satellite image that the animation is producing a wavy effect of the cloud at the end of the animation. [See screenshot]
This has happened since the planned Meteosat monthly-RSS-interruption when your meteosat images are downgraded for around 2 days.
Everything seemed to be fine before the monthly outage.

Are you any closer to combining the satellite and radar feeds into one composite picture,
thank you,

@alanduckers Hi, at this moment, we are working on implementation of certain local models and it is not planned now to add this one.
Ok thank you hopefully if you could add it the future that would be great,

UK Met Office global model
Is it possible to add the UK Met Office global model to your list of models out to T+168.
This would add a comparison with the longer term GFS and ECWMF model runs and would supplerment the short term higher resolution Met Office UKV,
thank you,

Hi @alanduckers, we're currently using images from met.ie as source of our radar data. That is the reason why it is cut off from the south. Last time I checked (a month or two ago), the Shannon radar was not available from met.ie open-data platform.
It looks like it is available now so we might switch to it so we get rid of the ugly missing data. Thank you for letting us know.
Many thanks for that,
kind regards,

Shannon radar
As Shannon radar in Ireland is now fully operational I am just checking that you are fully receiving all the data from that site,

RE: Fronts
There is coded version of the Bracknell frontal analysis in WMO FM45 IC45 code which covers Europe and the North Alantic and which is updated every 6 hours.

Not sure its possible to add it to your charts though but it may be worth taking a look,
thanks,

If you talk about the default model (ECMWF) the 12z run is displayed everyday.Depending where you live, this run is may be updated during the night for you ?
Hi,
yes i can see that detail on the app version which is great thanks but i cannot see this information on the desktop Microsoft Edge version of the charts,
Cheers,

RE: Forecast model update Times
@Wheats
Most forecasts seem to be the 00Z model run of each but i am mostly interested in the GFS,ECWMF and UKV models,
thank you,

Forecast model update Times
Hi,
just wondering the forecast model update times as all i can see is the 00Z model run on the forecast maps and there does not appear to be a 12Z update as far as i can see,
thank you,

@korina Thank you that was all I was after :-)

RE: 5 min UK Radar update
Again no reply so disappointed in your customer service for a premium subscriber and please do not tell me you have 5 minute UK radar updates as you plainly do not !!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I am asking is for 5 minute updates for UK in the future as I do like the way you display the rainfall and especially the lightning data.
Its probably the best on the web but just lacks the updates.
thanks,
Alan -
RE: 5 min UK Radar update
@korina Hi Korina,
This is what I am seeing for updates for most of the UK radar except the far SE between 11.40 TO 12.40 BST on the time slider.
1st update 11.53
2nd update 12.08
No further update until the time slider end time 12.40
Granted the far SE of the UK is updating faster towards the 5 mins but I would guess that is the HD European radar at its furthest western limit.
The rest of the UK is certainly not updating at 5 mins ( see above)
Thank you -
RE: 5 min UK Radar update
@korina I would guess this in the too hard box to sort re no answer but not good customer service by yourselves to treat a premium subscriber this way.........
-
RE: 5 min UK Radar update
@korina If you run the slider along from the start you will see it clearly updating every 15 minutes. Not sure also why you have posted a radar picture of France rather than the UK which may have different update times. Are you using the UK Met Office radar feed ?
-
RE: 5 min UK Radar update
@korina Sorry I am not seeing that at all..... the last image at 1500 BST was 30 minutes old and before that it seemed to be updating at around 15 minute intervals ????
