RE: Report your Weather Station Data to Windy
I've tried to upload my PWS data to Windy. Windy is receiving the data, see here:
https://www.windy.com/station/pws-f07cdffb?51.470,-3.146,11,i:pressure
Station ID: ID: f07cdffb
However I can't see my wether station on the map when I click on the wind sock icon. Any ideas? I've tried deleting and readding the station, tried changing the API key.
How long until my PWS will appear on the Windy map? Is there a problem as there's a weather cam at the same location (I also run a weather camera) or is it because the reported values are outside of what is acceptable? or is it because the timestamp on the weather data is out of date perhaps (if there is one); can't think of other reasons....
This is using Meteobridge (which confirms data is being send properly).
I really can't work it out. I'd be grateful for any help.
Thanks,

Cloud base parameter
On the iOS windy app, how do you get the app to tell you how high cloud base is? At the moment only “Rules” is displayed with IFR , VFR etc. What you really need to know is the actually height of the cloud base but I can’t find it anywhere!
Anyone help??

Thermal strength parameter
This is a great app for free flying (paragliding, hang gliding, sail plain pilots, etc). A parameter for the thermal strength (for example thermal updraught velocity) would make this app complete for free flight.
One example that people use for the UK is RASP (based on a GFS model). http://rasp.inn.leedsmet.ac.uk/
Perhaps these images could be overlayed onto a windy map? I know there are different RASPs for different regions.A visual colour based map would be excellent.
