Is there any way to speed up or hopefully automate the updated url to webcams? It would seem prudent to allow existing signed-in users to update their own urls as needed. I am finding OBS and YouTube regularly experience hiccups that kill an existing stream url and force a need to regenerate a new stream. Perhaps make the webcam management a premium feature?

RE: update website address
Still waiting for my cam's updated url...5 days and counting, has disappeared from the map, so I can only resubmit as a new cam.

RE: update website address
My 'new' cam was rejected because 'it already exists' but has been missing off the map for days. Been trying for a week now to get this sorted, and it's becoming not worth the effort.

RE: update website address
My YT address is
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCREHff45-0ONfCbFIm8yCyw
When I checked this morning, YT had again killed off the stream around 100 hours, so I simply restarted the stream, and it appears to still be picking up the still frames on Windy despite now using a different url for the stream! I suppose Marketa or someone went ahead and loaded the channel url for me?

RE: update website address
@Ondřej-Šutera Marketa approved my relocation and onwnership of my cam, but since several days have passed the old link originally submitted was dead, killed off by Youtube. I emailed Marketa a new link again, but is there any more efficient way to update the url links? If Youtube is killing off a link about every 3 days, and it takes 2 days to submit and approve a new link, that leaves a day for a link to be live, until it drops off again.

It appears we are on our own, so I'd recommend attempting to delete your existing camera, waiting for a few days for the cam to drop off the map automatically, then re-add your 'new' camera. After another few days, you should get an email that your camera was either added or rejected. -
RE: update website address
@Korina Several days have passed, and Youtube again killed the stream at that url after 111 hours, so I assume it is on Youtube's end, since OBS is happily running along after the YT link dies. That is the crux of the problem: I'm unable to quickly correct the url once YT kills the stream. It takes manual correction on your end, after days between failure and possible correction. Windy needs a more proficient way for users to update their own urls, with possibly an admin/moderation team review of content to ensure it meets Windy's webcam rules/goals.

Map has it currently misplaced in Sausalito under a different owner.

@alphawave7
Following a link for 'already exists' shows my cam has been moved 5 miles away and has been given a new owner. More to sort. -
