Additionally, over the past week, Windy weather models, especially the ECMWF one, have predicted wind speeds above 10 knots.
In this screenshot, the wind observation is from a WMO weather station in Rocha, 25 km from La Paloma. The “Observation vs. Forecast” section (only available in Premium) shows the speed predicted by the weather models at same time. Speed values above 10 knots are shown in green in the panel and are quite consistent with the observation.
