Nice work!
Another enhancement function that can serve as an active aid in the fight against the Climate Crisis!

Another great functional add.

@tomslavkovsky some great posts here. Love seeing ppl coming together accross the planet.
Might be worth your time to reach out to US Naval Research Center (https://www.nrl.navy.mil/radar/contact).
Not to be absolutist here: but if any organization would know about global radar resources - it would be the US Navy.
@doremun96 "It is controlled (and occupied) by the People's Republic of China, and also claimed by Taiwan (Republic of China) and Vietnam."

Sad to say but Chinese hegemony is going to play out over the next 10-100 years.
Home of Dragon Hole - the deepest known underwater sinkhole (blue hole) in the world (982 feet / 300 meters). "The local fishermen call it the "eye" of the South China Sea, and believe it is where the Monkey King, depicted in the novel "Journey to the West", found his golden cudgel."

@kpt-fish turn on your pressure indicator within Windy. Organized storms will pop-out. Beryl was an organized storm - it got sheared (but may yet still re-organize in the next few days).
@benur Agreed a Windy TV app would be great (AppleTV 4K & Android TV apps). I just tried to mirror the WindyTV app from an iPAD - it came out wonky (i.e.; not good)
There are some GREAT weather apps available in iTunes that I have been using for years. Some of the 4K weather apps are functionally & aesthetically brilliant.
With nationwide Spectrum cable moving to Apple iTunes in a few months - TV app platforms will continue to kill cable tv.
WIndy - spread your windy wings and splash your wonderful presence on 4k TV as a dedicated app for 4k TV media. Thx!
@jswai said in Display hurricane tracks:
How do I display various hurricane tracks in windy?
Thanks
Agreed - hurricane/storm track optional overlay would be a nice toggled function to have.
Windy needs to get the Winds right... kind of a poetic necessity. :)
I agree with many that that the wind data sets (wind & wind gusts) are are not easy to nail at all - let alone consistently. But I truly believe it needs to be mastered over time... especially in the angry weather world we have brought ourselves.
I think Ventusky is making a good effort here (though not sure on data accuracy audits re wind).
When Cat5 Matthew rolled thru Florida last year - the wind data projections were wildly off the further out from the storm centers.. useless actually.
When I looked that the micro-local Dark Sky wind speed projections... they were spot on.
I think that (in the end) there needs to be a artful balance between macro and micro data. That said: when you are in a storm - most want to know what is going to happen to me where I am... and those we love.
Master the winds... Windy!
Stay safe everyone....
Re: Testers wanted: Weather radar USA!
Here us a FUTURE RADAR - about 12 hours forward heads up view

Radar layer - VERY nice addition guys! Happy to see it! And the visual radar rendering is rich and smooth with a rich high-def look & feel to it.
Few suggestions:
The visualization of Harvey (Texas) is blinking off between cycles (confusing)... but the Florida (Invest 92L) storm radar display does not. Perhaps it is a visual data load issue in the browser.
Would be cool if user can turn on/off the grey radar regional layer. Radar colorization tend to look better against a darker background.
Adding longer loop cycles would be cool. Example from NexRad radar presentation out of
DuPage's NextGen Weather Lab.

Damn good work guys!
One final note: I have been using your ECMWF 9km Forecast model to monitor storms coming into the Gulf this Hurricane season. Your visual models have been consistently right on impacted areas (100% on all storms). That is not the case with even official data.
Damn good work guys! 😎
