I agree - it should at least be toggle-able via the 'Display on map' menu that has Airports, Forecasted weather, Reported wind, etc. I am glad some like it but it makes it very hard to distinguish between different return levels to spot areas of heavier snow or banding.

as far as where things begin and end? Yes, the white snowflakes make it harder to see what is going on exactly where. Different zoom levels present differing levels of obfuscation as well.
So, yes, I do not like things that make it more difficult.
Comparing these, the top image is easier to decipher what is going on where.

It is unusable because it makes it very difficult to distinguish the different colors, especially when it comes to spotting banding which indicates local heavy snow falls. I am glad some like it, but it should at least be toggle-able for those of us who want to clearly see the different levels of reflectivity.
