What is the direction of wind indicated by wind barbs? Ep. 2 of the Windy Academy says that the shaft of wind barbs in the Meteogram point in the direction “the wind is blowing from.” I believe this is wrong, the barbs point in the direction the wind is blowing TO.

RE: Wind direction indicated by wind barbs
i’m just pointing out that the explanation in that episode of the Windy Academy is confusing and could use better definition. Seems like the explanation was not given much thought. Also, wind symbols used by FAA weather forecasting do not have circles. Isn’t there standard symbology and definitions that everyone ought to be using?

iPad app: Allow users to rearrange the order of pinned layers.
On the iPad Windy app:
iPad: Allow users to rearrange pinned layers. Let users choose the order of pinned layers, as they can on the desktop interface.

Keep GPX flight paths visible while switching map layers
I use the route planner to display flights paths on the IPad Windy app. I would like to be able to change the layer while the flight path and VFR/IFR info window persists on the map from one layer to another but the VFR/IFR window hides the pin icon to switch layers. Closing the VFR/IFR window also erases the flight path from the map so in order to switch layers the required order is:
close IFR/VFR window -> open a new layer -> open the flight path again -> repeat
My suggestion:
iPad app: Keep GPX flight paths visible while switching map layers. Allow the VFR/IFR information panel to be dismissed without removing the displayed GPX route, or provide another way to access the layer selector.
