Bruce has been working as the Senior Scientist for the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association since 2005. After graduate school he worked for ADF&G as a Fish Biologist and then Habitat Biologist. When Bruce was a University of Alaska professor, the Exxon Valdez oil spill happened. Bruce was hired as the Chief of NOAA’s Office of Oil Spill Damage Assessment and Restoration. In 2000-2001 he was Governor Knowles Science Advisor. Bruce has authored many research papers and books on Alaska ecosystems.
