@idefix37 Thank you for the suggestion regarding the color scheme but we're so used to the default color scheme that it would be confusing for some of our colleagues to change it now.

Regarding the rendering performance, I noticed that both on the Android app and on the website viewed on the vessel's workstations, activating the wind particle animation has a significant performance hit, even though for the website I set the number of particles, the speed and the thickness to almost minimum. When I say performance hit I mean zooming and panning the map. Though if it's downloading data in real time I guess it could also be because of the internet connection speed?

I have tried once an app called Ventusky which also had wind particles animation and the panning and zooming was very smooth so I'm not sure where the issue is. It's just sometimes frustrating to use the website on the vessel's workstations which work in a virtualized environment with somewhat limited resources.

Just today I've had an inspector on board telling me he uses Windy for planning his biking trips and I've heard both the Rotterdam port pilots and the Danish DanPilots saying they're using Windy for work.

I'd like to start by saying that I love this service and the data it provides. I'm a navigation officer on a chemical tanker and we are using Windy for weather forecast on our voyages to supplement NAVTEX and SPOS because the data is more accurate and so easy to visualize.

That said I'd like to see performance improvements of the Android app and rendering performance of the wind particles on web.

But something that we really miss and prevents us from using Windy as our only go-to weather service on board is the lack of a printable weather forecast. I read in another thread that Windy does not own the data and so can not give it, but what I'm asking for is an interface on the website that displays the forecast full page or close to in order to be able to print it.

The same data that is currently shown on the bottom bar could be expanded, maybe by pressing a "Print forecast" button, to a full page view and the curent interface can remain unchanged. Even only the Basic forecast view would suffice to start with.
